Caitlin Fernside
SPECIALIST SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Hi, I’m Caitlin. I’m a Specialist Support Coordinator who is passionate about helping people rediscover themselves, build confidence, and develop independence.
I combine professional training, counselling studies, and lived experience—including navigating life with a disability, addiction recovery, loss, and complex trauma—to offer empathetic, practical, and deeply person-centered support. My personal passion for human psychology and mental health drives my work. As I complete my Bachelor of Counselling, I draw on both my studies and experiences to understand how people think, feel, and grow.
I focus on creating safe, steady spaces where people feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore what matters most to them. My approach is relational and strengths based, helping people rebuild routines, strengthen connections, and develop confidence while keeping self-care and compassion at the centre of the process.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the coast, walking my dog Shelby, exploring new hobbies, and finding joy in music, good food, and meaningful conversations. These simple pleasures keep me grounded and remind me why connection, self-discovery, and growth are so important.
What drives me most is the privilege of walking alongside people as they reclaim their independence, reconnect with their identity, and create lives that feel truly their own.
