Kyla Neale
SPECIALIST SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Hi, I’m Kyla. I’m a Specialist Support Coordinator with extensive experience supporting individuals with complex needs across both the child protection and alcohol and other drugs (AOD) sectors.
I bring six years of experience working within the Department for Child Protection, followed by four years in the AOD field, where I have supported people experiencing vulnerability, trauma, and complex life circumstances. This background has shaped my strong focus on safety, stability, and building coordinated supports that genuinely respond to a person’s individual needs.
I hold a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), with a major in Neuroscience, which underpins my understanding of behaviour, mental health, neurodevelopment, and the impacts of trauma on decision-making and daily functioning. This academic foundation, combined with my frontline experience, allows me to approach support coordination with both clinical insight and practical, real-world understanding.
My practice is grounded in a person-centred and trauma-informed approach. I am passionate about coordinating complex supports, advocating for participants with high and complex needs, and working collaboratively with services to improve long-term outcomes.
At the centre of my work is a commitment to consistency, safety, and ensuring people feel supported in a way that is structured, respectful, and empowering.
